The plan is for Brad and Andy to run the operation while Kris is gone, and he's worried about them. The goal is to get as much gold as possible before he leaves. Andy dives first and he's on gold right away. Kris gets down to dive and the air compressor dies, forcing him to surface. Andy: "No we won't."
Kris: "Look, I love my dad and brother, but I'm leaving them in charge when I go to Anchorage, which is like leaving two little kids in charge of the house when you're gone."Kris: "Remember the word of the day..."
Andy: "Is f*** you."
Kris: "...is WORK!"
Kris: "Tell that guy there's hot dogs ready and he runs up that ladder!"
Shawn and Joe are back to punching ice holes and diving again. Shawn is still on the trail of an ancient riverbed that he believes is full of gold and is going to help him pay his big bills. Shawn dives on heavy black sand and magnetite, which looks extremely promising, but is fruitless. He busts out the dowsing rods and after (psychically? magically? luckily?) triangulating a new hole location Joe Fullwood goes down to dive and gets right on the G.

Zeke and Gabe are moving to Tomcod and are planning to set up to mine between Shawn and the Kelly's. Zeke is only a fraction of the way to his 8 oz goal that he needs to tide him over financially until summer. They're at a 36 foot depth which is actually kind of dangerous, because Zeke could get the bends if he has to surface too quickly. Gabe and Zeke accidentally land on a tiny island of cobble in a sea of sand, and Zeke comes up completely empty-handed. Zeke and Gabe continue punching holes to find a good spot, and Shawn comes by to let them know the Christine Rose dug up the ground where they're thinking about working, and points them to the places where he hasn't mined.
Zeke: "Well the Kellys are right over there. I believe we can be pretty confident that there's not going to be any gold in that area."
Gabe: "Bunk hole, enough said. Find a new hole that's not bunk."
